Knurled Grip Cylinder

A portfolio-ready customizer for the actual parametric object: tapered cylinder body, fine diamond knurl, wavy underside grip ridges, circular border, bevels, and material tone all redraw in real time.

Project frame

From parameter file to designed object surface

The OpenSCAD source describes a compact manufactured form: a tapered cylindrical body, side knurling, bottom grip waves, and a border ring. This version turns those parameters into an inspectable product surface with readable controls, immediate feedback, presets, and a copyable parameter block.

Interaction goal

Make surface decisions legible

  • Expose taper, knurl density, wave rhythm, ridge spacing, and border proportions.
  • Keep the 3D view large enough to inspect side and underside geometry.
  • Translate slider changes into plain-language fabrication readouts.
